Rihanna makes New York Fashion Week debut with Puma collection

The singer is creative director of the sportswear brand

Rihanna has made her New York Fashion Week debut, presenting her Puma by Rihanna collection last night (February 12).

The singer became creative director of the sportswear brand in December 2014, where she oversees the direction of the womenswear line as well as being involved in Puma’s fitness and training collections.

Models Gigi and Bella Hadid featured in the show, as did Dudley O’Shaugnessy, who co-starred alongside Rihanna in her video for ‘We Found Love’. Drake was reportedly watching from the audience.

Dazed reports that the clothes on show were inspired by Rihanna’s personal style and were predominantly black.

Kanye West tweeted about the show, saying: “Wow the paradigm has shifted, she killed it… everything is changed now!!!! Lil Sis kiiiiiiiilled this shit!!!!!!!”

Meanwhile, Rihanna was recently confirmed to perform at the Brit Awards. She will appear at The O2 in London as part of the annual awards ceremony, which take place on February 24.

The Weeknd, Little Mix, and James Bay will also perform on the night with a line-up with Coldplay, Justin Bieber and Adele also on the bill.
