Rod Stewart inducted into Walk Of Fame

Crooner honoured for 40 years of service

Rod Stewart is the latest addition to the Hollywood Walk Of Fame.

The singer, who has enjoyed a 40-year career, was inducted into the avenue of stars at a ceremony yesterday (October 11).

“It’s wonderful to be on this same sidewalk as Louis Armstrong, Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald,” the star told BBC News.

He continued: “It has been a great year for me, my first Grammy, now this and I’m going to be a dad again. I don’t know how I did that but I did.”

Stewart is expecting his seventh child in December. He won the Grammy in February for ‘Stardust’, the third instalment in his ‘Great American Songbook’ series.
