Roger Waters shares epic trailer for ‘The Wall’ concert film – watch

Pink Floyd musician performed the 1979 concept album on tour between 2010 and 2013

Roger Waters has unveiled a trailer for his new concert film, titled Roger Waters The Wall.

The film was first shown at the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival and will now be released in theatres worldwide for one day only on September 29.

The film follows the former Pink Floyd member’s ‘The Wall Live’ tour, which ran between 2010 and 2013 and was seen by nearly four million people. It was the largest worldwide tour ever undertaken by a solo artist and was the first time any Pink Floyd member had played their 1979 concept album ‘The Wall’ in two decades.

As well as previously unseen concert footage, the film also follows Waters’ personal experience on the road and the events that led to his own strong anti-war sentiments. Waters co-directed the film along with Sean Evans, shooting the film in ultra-high definition.

Speaking about the film’s release, Waters said: “I hope these worldwide screenings this coming 29th September will be a good opportunity to remember, not just our fallen loved ones, but all the other guys’ fallen loved ones. Ashes and diamonds foe and friend we were all equal in the end.”
