Her singing partner Per Gessle says her recovery from a brain tumour is coming along well...
ROXETTE singer MARIE FREDRIKSSON is in “good spirits” after successful surgery to remove a brain tumour.
As previously reported, the operation was carried out at the Karolinska Hospital in Stockholm on Monday (September 30). Doctors are confident she’ll make a full recovery.
Speaking about her progress, her singing partner Per Gessle told radio station SR Stockholm: “Marie is well, considering the circumstances. She is up and in good spirits, but is naturally dazed after what has happened. It has naturally been a tough time for her – and for us all. “
Fredriksson was diagnosed with a tumour on September 11 after fainting at her home in Stockholm.
The 44-year-old singer’s husband Micke and two children are at her bedside in hospital.
The group scored their biggest hit in 1991 with ‘Joyride’, and have enjoyed considerable success in the US and Europe since.
