Royal Blood say debut album success shows there is ‘hope for guitars and riffs’ – watch

Band are at Number One this week with fastest-selling debut since 2011

Royal Blood have said that they hope the success of their debut album signals the return to the charts of British rock music.

The duo’s self-titled release became the fastest-selling rock debut for three years when it reached Number One on Sunday (August 31).

In the video, which you can see above, frontman Mike Kerr says: “Rock music is the way we play music naturally so it’s exciting that there is hope for riffs and guitars and real drums. Real music which is, perhaps, something that has been lost for quite a while now.”
