Singer to perform five shows at venue next summer

Rufus Wainwright has announced details of five shows set to take place at London‘s Royal Opera House next July.

The singer will be joined by his sister Martha and father Loudon for the July 19 and 21 shows respectively. On July 18 and 22 he will play his ‘Rufus Does Judy!’ interpretation of Judy Garland‘s 1961 concert show at New York‘s Carnegie Hall.

On July 23, meanwhile, he will play a concert version of his Prima Donna opera with Janis Kelly plus a performance with composer Britten Sinfonia conducted by Broadway musical director Stephen Oremus.
