'Gimme Something Good' is out July 1 on seven-inch via Adams' own Pax-Am label

It has been revealed that Ryan Adams‘ forthcoming new single, ‘Gimme Something Good’, will be part of a series of seven-inch releases.

The release is the first new solo material from Adams since 2011’s ‘Ashes & Fire’ LP. The seven-inch release of the song will be backed with another track called ‘I Just Might’, and comes out on July 1 on the singer’s own Pax-Am label. Paste reports that a new album from Adams is set for release later this year. Adams will headline the Newport Folk Festival in North America in July.

Meanwhile, Adams has recently been working with Jenny Lewis, co-producing her new album ‘The Voyager’ with Beck and Lewis’ partner Jonathan Rice. The album will be available in the UK on July 28.

Last year Adams worked with Fall Out Boy on their hardcore-inspired ‘Pax Am Days’ record. The eight-track punk album was available as a standalone digital release and as part of a limited-edition reissue of their 2013 LP ‘Save Rock And Roll’. The record was recorded at Adams’ Pax-Am studio in Hollywood over the course of two days.
