S Club 7’s Paul Cattermole resells Brit Award on Ebay after winner fails to pay £66,000

Second time lucky?

S Club 7‘s Paul Cattermole has relisted a Brit Award on Ebay after the previous winning bidder failed to pay £66,000.

Earlier this month, Cattermole told NME how he was “delighted” to receive the huge sum for his 2000 Best Newcomer Brit Award.

But it now appears that the buyer ultimately failed to cough up and Cattermole is now attempting to sell it once more. It’s back on eBay once again.

“There are signs of age as you would expect, it has been on display and it is 17 years [sic], the back of the neck and under the helmet and arms there are signs of age”, he wrote in the listing.

He added: “This item is being re-listed due to a non paying winning bidder.”

The original listing appeared earlier this month

At the time of writing, the highest bid stands at £12,500.

Along with the Brit Award, Cattermole is also selling a “Pulsar Spoon” watch that he wore during the filming of ‘Miami 7’, the short-lived TV series starring S Club 7.

Cattermole previously told NME how he was forced to sell the award after injuring his back during a tour of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, which limited his immediate work prospects.

“When I was doing The Rocky Horror Picture Show [the stage adaptation with Diana Vickers, which toured across the UK] a year ago, I was injured in quite a bad way”, he said.

“There was an un-choreographed bit of dancing [that went wrong] and someone fell on me. I was out of the show for about two months. My back has gone – it hasn’t been right since. Things just haven’t gone well this year [in terms of finding work] with that injury.”
