Sam Smith has teased his upcoming James Bond theme song by posting a preview clip online.
Taking to Twitter, the British singer wrote, “4 days!! Thanks to everyone pre-ordering, can’t wait for you to hear ‘Writing’s On The Wall'”.

On the announcement of the theme, Smith recently said, “This is one of the highlights of my career. I am so excited to be a part of this iconic British legacy and join an incredible line-up of some of my biggest musical inspirations.”
Smith told presenter Nick Grimshaw: “I’m so relieved to actually talk about this, this has been top secret mission of my own. I got called into the office with Barbara Broccoli and Sam Mendes and they gave me the script, I read the script… they said, ‘Have a go at the song’.”
“It’s the quickest I’ve ever written a song – it took 20 minutes – and they loved it! I love the song so much”.

Meanwhile, Smith recently admitted it may be quite some time before he releases more music.
The singer told OK! Magazine that he’s still “a bit heartbroken right now” and that there’s no current plans for his follow-up to 2014’s ‘In The Lonely Hour’, which has sold in excess of 8.5 million copies worldwide.
“I’m writing when I want to. So when bad things happen in my life, I’m going into the studio and writing about them,” Smith said.
“I’m excited, but it’s not going to be anytime soon. I think people are going to get bored of me if I carry on. I’m just trying to make it the most honest work I’ve ever done.”
