Savages reveal 10-minute live video for ‘Fuckers’ – watch

Band's new EP was released earlier this week (May 5)

Savages have revealed a 10-minute live video for their track ‘Fuckers’ – scroll down and click to watch.

The song, a fan favourite non-album track that the band have regularly been performing at shows, was released on a new 12-inch EP earlier this week (May 5) along with their cover of Suicide’s ‘Dream Baby Dream’. The video was directed by Giorgio Testi, who was also behind the camera for the video for their track ‘Shut Up’.

Savages released their debut album ‘Silence Yourself’ in May last year, and the LP was subsequently nominated for the Barclaycard Mercury Prize. Singer Jehnny Beth wrote a blog post shortly after insisting that the nomination didn’t “change anything”.

“If there is a lesson I am taking from this, and maybe you will care for it too, it is this one: whatever happens, do whatever the fuck you want,” she wrote. “Being nominated or not doesn’t make you a better band, it doesn’t change anything, musicians of our generation don’t earn millions the way they used to in the past, we simply don’t have anything to loose [sic].”

Beth will also feature on the forthcoming new album from Bo Ningen, ‘III’, which is released next week (May 12).
