Scissor Sisters provide colourful end to Bestival

The new UK chart-toppers finish the UK festival season

Scissor Sisters celebrated their UK chart-topping success by headlining the final night of Bestival last night (September 10).

The band found out they were Number One with new single ‘I Don’t Feel Like Dancin’’ just before they brought the longest ever UK festival season to a close.

The returning New York hipsters glammed up an already shiny Robin Hill Park on the Isle Of Wight.

Dressed in cabaret ‘Rocky Horror’ costumes, they played a show heavy in new material from forthcoming album ‘Ta-Dah’ before closing with ‘…Dancin’’ and the classic ‘Filthy/Gorgeous’.

Earlier on in the day Hot Chip also debuted new material on the main stage, while Bat For Lashes and The Long Blondes provided highlights of the Rock ‘N’ Roll tent.

And as Robin Hill Park wound up after another year of gorgeous sunshine, festival chief Rob Da Bank brought the show to a rapturous close in the Bollywood Bar.
