FANCY A SHAGGY?

The US chart-topper honours the reggae legend...

SHAGGY, currently at Number One in the US album charts, is to headline two shows at the 20th anniversary BOB MARLEY DAY festival later this month.

The biggest-selling act in the States at the moment, having knocked Jennifer Lopez from the top spot, he is to perform alongside Marley’s son Ky-Mani, Bunny Wailer, Toots & The Maytals, Culture, Marcia Griffiths, Wailing Souls, Ras Michael, Sylvia Tella and David Kirton at Long Beach, California on February 18.

The previous day at the same venue, the Shaggy-free line-up includes Buju Banton, Capleton, Baby Cham, Red Rat, General Degree, Ghost and Chaka Demus & Pliers.

The event, which marks the 20th anniversary of the death from cancer of the reggae legend, then moves to San Diego Sports Arena, and is headlined again by Shaggy, with Toots & the Maytals, Marley, Don Carlos, Capleton, Banton, Mutabaruka, Griffiths and Judy Mowatt.
