Justin Vernon, The National’s Aaron and Bryce Dessner cover Sharon Van Etten track – listen

Instrumental group yMusic and Colin Stetson also feature on the track

Bon Iver’s Justin Veron, Aaron and Bryce Dessner from The National, Colin Stetson and instrumental group yMusic have teamed up to perform a cover of a Sharon Van Etten song.

The supergroup joined forces on a version of ‘Love More’, originally featured on Van Etten’s ‘Epic’ album, back in 2010, but have only recently posted footage. The performance took place at Bryce Dessner’s MusicNOW festival in Cincinnati, which is celebrating its 11th edition this March.

As Pitchfork reports, fan footage and audio of the cover have been shared previously, but this is the first professionally-shot footage to be shared. You can watch it below.

The line-up for this year’s MusicNOW was announced today and features Kronos Quartet, Punch Brothers, Sam Amidon, Julia Wolfe and more, while it will also feature the world premiere of Bryce Dessner’s orchestral composition ‘Aheym’ and the US premiere of his ‘Reponse Lutoslawski’. Both will be performed by the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra.
