Sharon Van Etten performs new single ‘I Don’t Want To Let You Down’ live on ‘Ellen’

Sharon Van Etten appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show yesterday (January 15), performing the song ‘I Don’t Want To Let You Down’. Click above to watch

As pointed out by Stereogum, the track is to be released as a 7-inch single with an exclusive B-side, and will appear on a yet-to-be-announced new EP. Click below to listen to the studio version of ‘I Don’t Want To Let You Down’.

Van Etten recently covered Lou Reed’s ‘Perfect Day’ onstage with Rhode Island’s Deer Tick at New York’s Brooklyn Bowlvenue. The group played a six night residency to mark their 10th anniversary, covering a different record at each gig with guests. During one show, they played Lou Reed’s ‘Transformer’ in its entirely, performing ‘Perfect Day’ with Van Etten and ‘I’m So Free’ with Titus Andronicus’ Patrick Stickles.

The 33-year-old New Jersey native is due to play a run of UK and Ireland dates in April.
