Country singer could join Stevie Nicks and co.

American country singer Sheryl Crow is soon to join Fleetwood Mac, according to website Spinner.com.

The star would work alongside Lindsey Buckingham and close friend Stevie Nicks if she were to join the Anglo-American pop band.

Speaking to Spinner.com, Crow said: “We definitely have plans for collaborating in the future, and we’ll see what happens. As to when fans might hear those collaborations… I think that’s going to be next year.”

Stevie Nicks had previously said she would be unwilling to continue performing without former Fleetwood Mac member Christie McVie, who retired from touring in 1998.

The announcement has prompted speculation that Crow could be a long term replacement for McVie.

Fleetwood Mac last toured in 2004.
