Tickets to the Shockwaves NME Awards 2009 ceremony will go on sale for a limited time later this week.

NME.COM will be selling just 50 pairs of the tickets to the awards, which take place at London‘s Brixton Academy on February 25.

Limited to two per order, tickets cost just £10 (plus booking and admin fee), and you must be over 18 to attend.

This year’s nominations for the awards have now been revealed, with Oasis, Alex Turner, The Killers and Kings Of Leon all featuring prominently.

Shockwaves NME Awards 2009 Big Gig stars The Cure will collect their ‘Godlike Genius’ award at the ceremony too, and – along with a host of other bands – will also perform an exclusive set live at the ceremony.

The tickets for this year’s awards, which will give you exclusive access to all the action on the night and means you’ll be able to see who wins what at the rock n’ roll party of the year, go on sale on Friday (January 30).
