Singer to appear in London's Oxford Street branch in June
Sky Ferreira has announced an exclusive instore performance in London for NME and H&M later this year.
The ‘Everything is Embarrassing’ singer will perform an exclusive live instore at the Oxford Street branch of H&M on Tuesday, June 25. Speaking to NME about the gig, Sky Ferreira promised to perform new songs from her forthcoming debut album, which is set for release later this year: “I’m playing most of the songs from the new album and some from the ‘Ghost’ EP too. I’m trying to figure out what to do really, I like to make the live versions quite different to the recorded stuff. It keeps things interesting. I’m also doing two covers as well, a song by Willie Nelson and an Arthur Russell track too.”
Sky Ferreira joins Tribes and Carl Barat on the line-up for the NME Showcases with London band Tribes kicking the series off later this month in Manchester. Meanwhile, former Libertines and Dirty Pretty Things frontman Carl Barât will play songs from his forthcoming solo album when he performs at the Buchanan Galleries in Glasgow on May 8.
Fans coming will be able to shop in H&M before and after the gig, getting a 10 per cent discount off everything in store too. Tickets for all of the NME Showcases are free. For your chance to win tickets, visit NME.com/showcases now.
