Singer says she is a 'very happy girl'

Sinead O’Connor will tie the knot for the fourth time when she marries Barry Herridge, 38, later today (December 8).

The singer announced the nuptials on her official website, revealing that the “dream” ceremony will be taking place at an “undisclosed location”.

O’Connor has been married three times before – to producer John Reynolds, journalist Nicholas Sommerlad and to Steve Cooney, whom she divorced earlier this year.

The announcement of her wedding comes just four months after the singer infamously posted a blog on her website bemoaning the “dire” state of her sex life and setting out what she was looking for in a man.

She wrote:

He must be no younger than 44. Has to be employed. Am not fussy in what capacity generally but vehicle clampers need not apply. No hair dye.

O’Connor sparked fears for her welfare back in September when she posted a serious of tweets that appeared to suggest she was thinking about suicide.

She said she wanted to “go to heaven” and revealed she had been seeking help from a psychiatrist. O’Connor later wrote an open letter to fans reassuring them of her welfare.
