Two new Halloween songs from the grime MC

Skepta has released two new songs for Halloween.

This year’s Mercury Prize winner has shared a new single called ‘No Security (Halloween Sound)’, as well as a video for Section Boyz collaboration ‘The Worst’. The latter clip is inspired by horror film The Purge.

Section Boyz were joined on stage by Skepta and Drake at their show at London’s Village Underground last year. Earlier in the night, the Toronto rapper had joined Rihanna on stage at the Brit Awards to perform her single ‘Work’ with her.

Skepta, meanwhile, recently won the Mercury Prize for his album ‘Konnichiwa’. He is the second grime artist to win the Mercury Prize after Dizzee Rascal won with his debut ‘Boy In Da Corner’ in 2003. He recently released new tracks with Riff Raff, Smoke Dawg and A$AP Rocky.

Asked what he hopes young people will take from his Mercury Prize victory, Skepta told NME: “I want them to be themselves.”

The Tottenham-born star continued: “When old people are telling them to be quiet, and old people are telling them they’re not right, and people who just don’t understand kids are just saying stuff to them [to suit] their own boxed-in lives, I want the kids to be like, ‘No. Do you know what, Skepta showed me that I just need to do and say how I feel. Because you only get one chance to say how you feel, you know.”
