They will be appearing at the festivals 'rave' arena The Port
Skrillex, Mark Ronson and Four Tet have all been added to the Bestival bill.
The acts will all be playing the festival’s rave arena The Port. They will be joined by Seth Troxler, Annie Mac, Hannah Wants, Erol Alkan, Andrew Weatherall, Toddla T, High Contrast, Benga, Wookie, The Heatwave and more. The event takes place on the Isle of Wight, from September 10-13. Festival founder Rob da Bank says: “The Port is one of our finest achievements at Bestival, with some pretty stiff competition from all the other inventive constructions that have gone down over the last 12 years. A massive ship seemingly anchored into the grass at Robin Hill complete with smoking funnels, rusty portholes and all topped off with a crazy crew of nautical nutters dancing day and night in laser beam ecstasy.”
He added: “I cannot wait to see what Skrillex will pull out the bag for a Sunday finale. Sonny hasn’t been to Bestival for four years so a lot has changed for all of us, and I think The Port is gonna be very special that night. Especially because, as anyone who’s seen Mark Ronson DJ knows, they’re in for a massive treat, too – a sublime Sunday night double-header, even if I do say so myself.”
The Chemical Brothers will headline the Saturday night of the festival while Underworld are set to headline headline the Big Top on the Thursday night as part of a UK festival exclusive. Bestival will “return to its roots” this year with the theme “Summer of Love”. Tame Impala, Duran Duran and Jungle will also play as well as The Jacksons, Flying Lotus, Jurassic 5, Jamie xx, Gorgon City, Little Dragon and Future Islands.
Last year, Nile Rodgers and Chic, Beck, Foals and OutKast headlined Bestival. The festival also saw performances from Disclosure, Major Lazer, London Grammar, Sam Smith, Wild Beasts, Clean Bandit, Caribou, Chvrches, Busta Rhymes and Laura Mvula. An adult weekend ticket for this year’s event costs £195.
