Sky Ferreira’s new album edges ever closer with new photo

It's finally coming

It looks like new music from Sky Ferreira could be coming very soon, after she shared the “first official photo” ahead of the release.

The US singer released her acclaimed debut album ‘Night Time, My Time‘ in 2013.

Now, the singer, model and actress has shared a promotional image, showing her in a red bikini in a dressing room.

This comes after Ferreira promised to release a ‘visual EP’ in 2018.

“It’s an EP that is heavily visual, and the videos will all connect to each other in an abstract way,” she said.

“The visual component isn’t necessarily a concept, it was more of an excuse for me to make videos for all the songs.”

Speaking of progress on new material last year, Ferreira wrote: “For the first time in a very long time I have a support system to help me (music wise). It’s only up from here. I’m starting to be in a good place creatively/overall and I’m very excited to put out new stuff and I can’t promise that you’ll like it  – everyone is different – BUT I can promise that anything I put out myself is and will be whole hearted and 100000000 dedication. I am planning on making something and putting out something soon.”

She added: “Also I gotta point out something: I don’t know why this happens every time I make a record after a decade (yoinks) of doing this because…I MAKE POP MUSIC?!?? It’s not THAT complicated?”

While Ferreira hasn’t released new music since 2013, she has featured in Twin Peaks, as well as several films including Elvis & Nixon and Baby Driver. She also contributed a cover of The Commodores’ ‘Easy’ to the soundtrack of the latter. Ferreira also recorded collaborations with The Jesus & Mary Chain and Primal Scream.
