Duo have finished second record and follow-up to 'Are You Satisfied?'

Slaves have unveiled a brand new track called ‘Spit It Out’, thought to feature on their upcoming second LP.

The band recently revealed their new album is finished and will be released “soon”. The album will follow 2015’s Mercury Prize-nominated ‘Are You Satisfied?’.

Ahead of that forthcoming album announcement, the Tunbridge Wells duo have shared the audio for new single ‘Spit It Out’ via YouTube. The track premiered on Annie Mac’s Radio 1 show last night (August 10) ahead of their London 100 Club gig later in the evening.

Last week, the band stated that their album sounds “heavy” and “very different” to their debut.

Guitarist Laurie Vincent explained the quick completion of the record, saying: “In the modern world, where people like The Weeknd do three albums a year, it feels like there’s no excuse to drop off.”

“We just felt like we had the material and we were writing really quickly, so were like, let’s just do it. People asked if we wanted to take a break, but we said no.”

Last month (July 26), the band revealed that they were filming a video for “some music we wrote”.
