Track taken from their new album 'Are You Satisfied?'
Slaves have posted a new video for ‘Sockets’, the latest single to be taken from their recently-released debut album ‘Are You Satisfied?’.
The creepy clip follows a rather dishevelled man as he watches the band perform the track on his TV before being attacked by a mysterious arm and, then, a number of plug sockets. Click above to watch.
‘Sockets’ comes as the band attempt to quell a recent spat with Sleaford Mods, who have made numerous public comments about the Tunbridge Wells band over the past few months, describing them as “fucking appalling” and accusing Slaves of “ripping us off”.
Sleaford Mods later performed at Glastonbury immediately after a Slaves set, taking another swipe at the band by labelling them their “support band” and comparing them to Take That.
Speaking to NME earlier this month, Slaves refused to be drawn into a rivalry with their punk counterparts. “I’ve got nothing to say about that, said the band’s Isaac Holman.
Holman later accused NME of “just trying to stir up shit” between the two bands, saying that getting involved in a slanging match “is hardly sending out a positive message to people”.
Slaves released ‘Are You Satisfied?’ in June, reaching Number Eight in the UK Albums Chart.
