SLIPKNOT are set to mark the release of new album ‘IOWA’ with a series of midnight openings at record shops throughout the UK – at one of which fans can get a free copy of the record if they show up with a live goat.
Sixteen shops will open at midnight on August 27 to allow the devoted an opportunity to buy the album, Slipknot‘s second, the moment it is released. In a nod to the occult goat artwork on the record cover, Record Savings in Banbury near Oxford are inviting the more adventurous Slipknot followers to arrive at their store on the stroke of midnight with a live goat and in return receive a free copy of ‘Iowa’.
Fans stuck onsite at the Reading Festival will not be denied their chance to buy the album either. The Camberley Rockbox Tent will be selling copies from midnight.
