SLIPKNOT LAUNCH TWIN SIDE PROJECTS

Metalers spawn like-minded offerings...

Members of SLIPKNOT have launched two side projects – MURDERDOLLS and STONE SOUR.

Drummer of the nine-strong metal band, JOEY JORDISON has teamed up with STATIC X’s TRIPP EISEN to form trash punk outfit Murderdolls.

Drawing lyrical inspiration from Friday the 13th and similar horror flicks, the new band features Wednesday 13 on vocals, Eric Griffin on bass and Ben Graves on drums.

Jordison hooked up with Eisen on the 99 Ozzfest tour. They release their 15-track debut album Beyond The Valley Of The Murderdolls on August 19.

Meanwhile Slipknot vocalist COREY TAYLOR and guitarist JIM ROOT have re-joined members of the band they were in before Slipknot, Stone Sour, and relaunched the project.

Guitarist Josh Rand and bassist Sean Economaki, from the original line-up, are joined by Joel Ekman on drums and Slipknot’s Sid Wilson offering guest DJ appearances.

Stone Sour, who promise Slipknot’s trademark hard metal with a melodic twist, release their 16-track self-titled debut on September 16.
