SLIPKNOT are set to make a cameo appearance in a remake of the film ‘ROLLERBALL’.

According to MTV news, the band will film their part in LA before the end of the month. It is anticipated that the Iowa nine-piece will perform a song, but not have speaking parts.

A statement issued by the band said that they are “excited” to be part of the film, directed by ‘Die Hard”s John McTiernan.

They added: “We are big fans of the original, and we know the new version will be much better.”

The film is due for release later in the year.

As previously reported on NME.COM, the band are preparing to release their new album, tentatively titled ‘Iowa’ on July 23. The record has been described by producer Ross Robinson as “fucking absolutely destroying”.
