Snoop Dogg axed from Holland’s Parkpop festival by ministry officials

Government representatives said they wanted 'to guarantee the open and friendly character of the event'

Snoop Dogg has been axed from the line-up at a Dutch festival by ministry officials.

The rapper was confirmed to play the Parkpop festival in The Hague on June 27, but has now been pulled from the bill after Government representatives protested.

As Billboard reports, the mayor of the Dutch city, public prosecutors and the police have asked organisers of the event to find a replacement “in order to be able to guarantee the open and friendly character and free admission of Parkpop“.

Other acts set to appear at the bash include Alphabeat, Nick Lowe and Juliette Lewis.

Meanwhile, Snoop Dogg will perform at this year’s Glastonbury festival which takes place on June 25-27.
