Rapper could face jail if convicted
Snoop Dogg has been charged with sale or transportation of marijuana and possession of a gun following his arrest last year in Los Angeles.
Snoop whose real name is Calvin Broadus, was arrested in October after police found drugs and a firearm in his car, and upon searching his home, discovered a second gun.
Broadus was convicted of a felony in 1990 for possession of drugs for sale, which means he is now being charged as felon in possession of a firearm which could mean up to four years in prison.
The rapper was recently denied entry to the UK resulting in the cancellation of a joint tour with P Diddy. He was also arrested last month in Stockholm for suspected drugs use.
He is due in court on Wednesday.
