This week’s releases: October 27 2008

New albums and singles released in the UK this week

Snow Patrol release their new album ‘A Hundred Million Suns’ today (October 27).

Gary Lightbody and co will be hoping for a number one placing with their fifth album – which can get a full preview if now – but they face stiff competition from Pink.

The pop singer, whose single ‘So What’ has been reigning supreme on the singles chart, also releases her own fifth collection, ‘Funhouse’ today.

Meanwhile, The Flaming Lips‘ long-awaited soundtrack to their ‘Christmas On Mars’ film and Grace Jones‘ comeback album ‘Hurricane’ also drop today.

On the singles front, indie heavyweights Razorlight and The View both return with ‘Wire To Wire’ and ‘5 Rebbbecas’ respectively.

Also released today is the collaboration between Pet Shop Boys and artist Sam Taylor-Wood, a cover of The Passions‘In Love With A German Film Star’.
