Rapper found innocent after retrial

Rapper Megaman was cleared of murder yesterday (September 28) at London‘s Old Bailey court.

Vincent had been accused of encouraging producer Carl Morgan to shoot Scarlett in November 2004.

Morgan was jailed for 30 years at an earlier trial. On that occasion the jury failed to reach a verdict against Megaman, prompting the retrial.

Speaking after the verdict, the rapper told the BBC that he felt “like a broken man”, adding: “I have finally been released from a system which has been designed to keep people behind bars whether they are innocent or guilty.

“I was an innocent man from the beginning – nothing has changed and nothing will ever change.”
