The group are not allowed to play a show at the Astoria following last month's shooting in the same venue...
The final date on SO SOLID CREW‘s forthcoming UK tour has been pulled in what appears to be a reaction to recent shootings at the same LONDON venue.
The Astoria Theatre in central London is refusing to allow the concert on December 18 to go ahead.
As previously reported on NME.COM, two men were recently shot at the Astoria at a birthday party for So Solid member Romeo. So Solid Crew, onstage at the time of the attack, have repeatedly distanced themselves from the shooting.
A press representative for the group has said the show will not go ahead as planned, claiming the venue do not want them to appear.
“We are currently seeking an alternative London venue for the show, we urge fans who have bought tickets to await further announcements,” So Solid say.
Group member Megaman added: “We are truly disappointed that the show at the Astoria has been cancelled. We are all from London and were looking forward to playing our home town. For all of our fans who bought tickets do not worry we are looking for a new venue and we will sort this out.”
A spokesperson for the Astoria could not be reached at press time for comment. No alternative venue has yet been announced.
