ELECTRIC YOUTH!

The indie rock veterans with the now-amusing name drag their zimmer frames out and prepare to get experimental on our asses...

SONIC YOUTH have a series of European dates lined up for June.

The gigs will take various forms, some as straightforward Sonic Youth gigs, some focusing on their work for their own SYR label, in particular their last album ‘Goodbye 20th Century’, and culminating with a solo performance by Thurston Moore in Italy.

Additionally, they have a previously-announced one-off at London Royal Festival Hall, their only UK show, which will feature a special appearance by the Glenn Branca Trio, paying tribute to modern composers of the avant garde. Billed ‘Goodbye 20th Century’, the show will see Jim O’Rourke join them onstage along with percussionist William Winant, who had played with composer Cage.
