Cara Delevingne and St Vincent reportedly split up

Pair dated for a year and a half

Annie Clark – better known by her stage name St Vincent – has reportedly split from her model/actress girlfriend Cara Delevingne.

Clark – whose self-titled fourth album was named NME‘s Album Of The Year in 2014 – had been dating Delevingne since early 2015.

The Sun now reports that the pair “went separate ways” while Delevingne embarked on a press tour for recent film Suicide Squad.

A source told the paper: “Cara and Annie still care about each other, but pressures of the long-distance romance just became too much… They decided to call it a day but remain pals and are hoping they can work things out as its no doubt they really love each other.”

Delevingne previously spoke about her relationship with Clark in an interview with Vogue, saying: “I think that being in love with my girlfriend is a big part of why I’m feeling so happy with who I am these days. And for those words to come out of my mouth is actually a miracle”.

She added: “It took me a long time to accept the idea [of being attracted to women], until I first fell in love with a girl at 20 and recognised that I had to accept it… Women are what completely inspire me, and they have also been my downfall. I have only been hurt by women, my mother first of all.”

St Vincent’s most recent album ‘St Vincent’ followed previous albums ‘Marry Me’ (2007), ‘Actor’ (2009), ‘Strange Mercy’ (2011) and her collaborative album with David Byrne ‘Love This Giant’ in 2012.
