Stalker breaks into Taylor Swift’s New York home, takes nap

There's not meant to be any rest for the wicked...

Police have reported that a stalker broke into Taylor Swift’s New York City townhouse and was found mid-nap.

As reported by Associated Press, officers investigating a reported break-in on Friday (April 21) were surprised to find 22-year-old Roger Alvarado taking a nap in the singer’s home in Tribeca.

The man was arrested on charges of burglary, trespassing, stalking and criminal mischief. This is the second time Alvarado has been removed from the premises. On February 13, Alvarado was arrested at the same address attempting to break the door down with a shovel.

This isn’t even the only stalker Swift has dealt with this week. A man was recently arrested on suspicion of stalking outside a Beverly Hills home owned by Taylor Swift.

Meanwhile, Swift has shared her cover of Earth, Wind and Fire’s ‘September’, and it’s a world away from the upbeat fun of the seminal disco classic.

Instead, Swift offers a stripped back acoustic take on the track – with her voice backed by banjos that add an unexpected bluegrass direction to the song.

Swift’s Spotify release comes after she was persuaded to return to the streaming service by Spotify boss Daniel Ek, having previously removed all her music from it.

“I should’ve done a much better job communicating this, so I take full ownership for that,” Ek said.
