The two bands team up for a version of Bob Dylan's 'It's All Over Now, Baby Blue'...
Starsailor were joined by Charlatans’s TIM BURGESS, MARK COLLINS and TONY ROGERS onstage in NEW YORK last night (29 January) for a surprise performance of Bob Dylan‘s classic ‘IT’S ALL OVER NOW, BABY BLUE’ .
After Starsailor finished their opening set at a sold-out Irving Plaza they left the stage, only to return, unusually for an opening band, for an encore.
They were quickly followed out by the three Charlatans, however, who received a huge reaction from the crowd, as soon as it became clear what was going on.
Burgess and Starsailor frontman James Walsh, both Bob Dylandevotees, shared lead vocals on the rollicking rendition of the track, trading off verses with one another, with Burgess also dropping in his harmonica.
Afterwards, Charlatans went on to perform their own headlining set, spotlighting material off their recent ‘Wonderland’ album, as well as songs from throughout their decade-plus career.
Charlatans and Starsailor wrap up their month-long North American tour with two
more dates, tonight (January 30) at the 9:30 Club in Washington DC and
tomorrow (January 31) at the Theatre of Living Arts in Philadelphia.
