'Bula Quo' is currently being filmed in Fiji
Classic rockers Status Quo have revealed that they are putting together a bizarre new project – their own James Bond style action film.
The film, which is set to be titled Bula Quo!, will feature a soundtrack of 12 classic Status Quo songs, and is currently being put together in Fiji.
The movie, which is also set to feature US comic Jon Lovitz and Craig Fairbrass, who has previously starred in Eastenders, Footballers’ Wives and London’s Burning, has been directed by Stuart St Paul and will come out next year.
Speaking about the film, the band’s singer Francis Rossi said: “The one thing Quo fans know is to expect the unexpected”, with guitarist Rick Parfitt adding: “This is an amazing chance for us to do something new and we’re all really excited.”
The band join the likes of The Spice Girls, The Beatles and S Club 7 in starring in their own feature film, although whether they are playing themselves or not is yet to be confirmed.
Status Quo are also currently working on a new album, and will release a new single titled ‘The Winner’ later this month to coincide with the Olympic Games.
