Or not, as the case may be...

STEPS are the odds-on favourites to follow FIVE and be the next pop group to split up, NME.COM can reveal.

The band, who are on the verge of releasing their ‘Greatest Hits’ album ‘Gold’, are 2/1 on to call it a day before the end of the year, according to bookmakers William Hill.

William Hill are citing the imminent greatest hits package, often a full stop at the end of a band’s career, plus the fact that all the Steps girls are in long-term relationships, H has spoken of his wish to appear in musicals, and Lee Latchford-Evans has said that he’d like to go into acting.

The band have also been plagued with rumours throughout this year that they were on the verge of calling it a day – stories that have consistently been denied by their spokespersons.

William Hill are giving odds of 5/2 that A1 will be next to go, with Hear’say at 7/2, Liberty at 4/1 and Spice Girls at 5/1.
