‘TRAFFIC’ JAM!

The band join forces with Eddie Jordan...

Stereophonics are to join FORMULA ONE boss EDDIE JORDAN for a gig ahead of the BRITISH GRAND PRIX.

The band will play with the Jordan team chief and his group V10 in the grounds of Stowe School – a private boarding school in Stowe, Buckinghamshire on July 6. Jordan’s drivers take part in the Grand Prix at Silverstone the following day.

It is not the first time Jordan has decided to perform with his rock outfit. He played with them in Bonn at the beginning of May in the lead-up to the Austrian Grand Prix.

Jordan is a keen music fan. The 50-something silver-haired multi-millionaire was spotted some time back playing air-guitar along to Cooper Temple Clause at a gig in London’s 100 Club.

Meanwhile, Stereophonics are still denying that they will headline the Saturday night Main Stage at Glastonbury (June 29) despite persistent rumours.

NME.COM has been told numerous times by sources that the band are heading for Worthy Farm on June 29 and are even playing what many feel must be a festival warm up gig at the Bristol Academy the night before. However, the band, who are also headlining V2002, will still not officially confirm their appearance.
