Welsh rockers head to Liverpool for Cream 2000...

The Stereophonics have just been confirmed as the headline act for Cream‘s Millennium celebrations.

They will join Lightening Seeds, Space, Orbital at Liverpool’s Pier Head on New Years Eve 1999 to play to 30,000 people. More bands are still to be confirmed.

The Cream 2000 tour will also be visiting Pier Head on the same night. Fatboy Slim, Paul Oakenfold, Pete Tong, Sasha, Darren Emerson and Seb Fontaine will all be on this and the tour will call at four venues around the country on the night; Pier Head, Liverpool Nation, Cardiff Ice Rink and Brixton Academy.

Radio One will be broadcasting the tour live as well as linking up with Cream parties around the world (including Uraguay.and Hong Kong).

Tickets for the Pier Head show cost ’75 with a maximum booking fee of ‘7.50 other the price for the other venues is ’99 with a maximum booking fee of ‘7.50.

All the events will continue until 8am New Millennium Day.
