2018's most unlikely partnership performed live during last night's ceremony and participated in a special 'Carpool Karaoke' skit
Sting and Shaggy‘s joint appearance at the Grammys last night (January 28) proved to be one of the more surprising highlights of the night – check out the best reactions to the unlikely duo’s appearance at the ceremony below.
The two artists are currently promoting their collaborative project ’44/876′, which has been described as an “island-influenced” album. The record will arrive in April, and apparently came about after the pair “got together to jam and write music that reflects their mutual love of Jamaica, its music, people and culture”.
Both Sting and Shaggy were present at the Grammys last night, with the duo performing a mix of the former’s hit ‘Englishman In New York’ and their joint single ‘Don’t Make Me Wait’. See a clip of the performance, and the subsequent online reaction from the likes of Major Lazer and Wavves, below.
Sting and Shaggy also appeared in Grammys host James Corden’s latest Carpool Karaoke skit, which saw the trio riding on the New York City subway and singing along to hits by the two artists.
However, the performance didn’t go down well with some subway riders – check out what happened below.
In other news from last night, Grammys President Neil Portnow has been criticised for his comments about the lack of female winners at yesterday’s ceremony.
