The stars are apparently mutual fans of each other's work...

SUEDE are set to make their long-awaited return to the UK stage at David Bowie‘s MELTDOWN festival, NME.COM has learned.

[a][/a] and Suede are long-time mutual fans of each other’s work and were photographed together for an NME cover way back in 1992. NME.COM understands that the band have been approached. If confirmed, they will play material from their new album at the gig as part of the music festival at London’s Royal Festival Hall. This year’s event runs between June 12-30.

A spokesperson for Suede told NME.COM: “The band have been approached and are extremely interested. Suede are in the process of putting together their plans for the rest of the year as we speak.”

Suede will release their new album in September this year.
