SUEDE previewed their new single ‘POSITIVITY’ as part of their set at LONDON MARDI GRAS over the weekend.
The Popstarz Stage in London’s Hackney Marshes played host to a variety of upcoming bands throughout the day (July 6), including Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster, Cooper Temple Clause and The Candys.
Further up the bill, Haven ploughed through tracks including ‘Who Needs Enemies?’, ‘Devil Walks In The Sand’ and ‘Panzer Attack’, before [a][/a] set the scene for Suede‘s first UK outdoor show since V99.
Starting with new song ‘Beautiful Loser’, they confirmed the more laid-back, acoustic air that their new material has taken in parts. ‘Metal Mickey’, ‘Can’t Get Enough’ and ‘Beautiful Ones’ followed, with singer Brett Anderson looking especially pleased with himself.
New single, ‘Positivity’ was also given a live airing, as was ‘Killing Of A Flashboy’, which has rarely been heard in recent years.
Suede‘s new album, ‘A New Morning’, is due out this autumn through Epic.
