Frontman posts cryptic lyrics on band's forum

Brett Anderson has hinted there’ll be a new Suede song unveiled next week.

Writing on the band’s official forum, Anderson posted lyrics under the title “EARLY NEXT WEEK.” The lyrics are:

“Aniseed kisses and lipstick traces, lemonade sipped in Belgian rooms couldn’t replace the graceful notions that clung to me when i clung to you,
And they touch you like no one touched you, and when you broke they were there with glue, and their kindness was not a weakness and when they were there they were there for you,
But will they love you, the way, the way i loved you? we jumped over the barriers.”

Back in September 2012, NME joined Suede in the studio for the recording of their reunion album, where Anderson said: “I think on the last two records we were trying to reinvent ourselves and it didn’t work. With this one we’ve been a bit more instinctive about it, just written some songs and played them and gone with it a bit more. It’s not so much a back-to-basics approach as trying not to over-think it.”

The band last released a new album – ‘A New Morning’ – in 2002. The indie icons recently posted a series of five images on their Facebook page, each one revealing more details of their 2013 plans. The final image of the puzzle was revealed on Monday, December 3, announcing a show at Alexandra Palace in March.

Suede debuted a new track called ‘For The Strangers’ at the Hop Farm Music Festival in July. The band are working with producer Ed Buller, who worked on their first three LPs.
