Sufjan Stevens, Yo La Tengo added to Pop Montreal

They join Dinosaur Jr and Butthole Surfers at fall festival

Sufjan Stevens and Yo La Tengo have been announced to take part in this year’s Pop Montreal festival, taking place from September 30 to October 4.

Lee Fields & The Expressions, Dragonette, Jay Reatard, Micachu & The Shapes, Clues, Think About Life and Cadence Weapon have also been added to the line-up, joining Dinosaur Jr, Butthole Surfers, Lou Barlow And The Missingmen and more.

As previously reported, Chairlift, Matt And Kim and Fever Ray are also among the acts set to perform at the event, which will also include a talk by the Dalai Lama at the Bell Centre on October 3.

Diamanda Galas, Os Mutantes, Roxanne Shante, Krautrock Faust, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Mono, Tobacco, Lemonade, Iris Dement, Loudon Wainwright III, Wovenhand, Destroyer, Teenage Jesus & the Jerks, Thee Oh Sees, The Intelligence, The Homosexuals, Bajofondo, tUnE-YaRdS, Zombie Disco Squad and Mike Simonetti are the other acts to have been announced so far.

The festival will feature workshops and talks by many of the acts who are scheduled to perform, as well as a film series and a craft fair.
