SEE SUGABABES WITH NME.COM

The only place you can get tickets is through NME.COM...

SUGABABES are set to play three live shows in the UK later this month in association with NME.COM – and we have hundreds of tickets to give away.

The trio will take to the stage with their six-piece band at Manchester Ampersand (March 27), London Notre Dame Hall (March 29) and Glasgow The Shack (March 30).

Explaining the reason for involving NME.COM in the shows, Siobhan from the band says: “We made the decision because NME has supported us since the beginning and we’re all fans of NME. NME was the first to really rate us and review our CD and it seemed like the right thing to do. We’ve chosen some smaller venues to play and they’re nicer in a way because they’re more intimate… But you do get more nervous!”

Of their acceptance as more credible artists than their pre-packaged peers, Siobhan continues: “It surprised us – and we didn’t imagine that was going to happen. But our music’s so diverse that it seems there’s something on the album [‘One Touch’] for everyone.”

Because of their ages – one member of the three-piece is 15, while the other two are 16 – they have found it difficult to work within UK licensing laws. On this brief tour, each of the gigs will be billed as a private show and fans must win tickets to see them play. Tickets will only be available on NME.COM.

Sugababes release their next single, ‘Run For Cover’, lifted from their gold-selling debut album, ‘One Touch’, on April 6. The single includes a brand new song, ‘Don’t Wanna Wait’, co-written by the band.
