Super Furry Animals have pulled out of the GLASTONBURY FESTIVAL.
The psychedelic Welshmen have also withdrawn from a prestigious support slot with Red Hot Chili Peppers at Lansdowne Road in Dublin on June 25, just days before their Glastonbury appearance that would have come on June 30.
A spokesperson for the band revealed today (June 11) that the plug was pulled because the band could not find a soundman. The engineer they usually use for live shows was unavailable and after attempts were found to find a substitute, it was felt that no-one could stand-in and ably control the band’s difficult sound.
The band will remain in the studio and have no plans to play any other live shows this summer.
