Singer confirms she will perform at Worthy Farm event in June

Suzanne Vega has confirmed that she will perform at Glastonbury in June.

The news was revealed by Vega during an interview with BBC Breakfast earlier today (January 31). The singer is due to release new album ‘Tales from the Realm Of The Queen Of Pentacles’ next month and will tour the UK in February.

Vega joins headliners Arcade Fire, Lily Allen, Korean singer-songwriter Choi Go-Eun and Staton Warriors on the list of artists due to perform at this year’s festival, which takes place between June 25-29.

Tickets for Glastonbury Festival 2014 sold out in record time, after going on sale on October 6. 120,000 tickets were snapped up in one hour and 27 minutes, beating last year’s record of one hour and 40 minutes. Eavis revealed that over one million people had registered for tickets for the event.
