Johnny Flynn keeps NME/Transgressive gig rocking at SXSW

Singer/songwriter wins the crowd at Wave

Johnny Flynn kept the crowd rocking at the NME/Transgressive Records party at the Wave venue at SXSW this afternoon (March 13) with a rollicking set of folk-rock.

Flynn played earlier than expected, at 4.45pm, after The Noisettes got their stage times mixed up and turned up to the venue late.

Wearing a red checked shirt and black trousers, Flynn wowed the crowd with a half-hour set of fast-paced folk-rock in the hot Austin sun.

Johnny Flynn played:

‘The Box’

‘Cold Bread’

‘Leftovers’

‘Brown Trout Blues’

‘Eyeless In Holloway’

‘Sally’

‘Tickle Me Pink’
