Ox.Eagle.Lion.Man kick off NME’s SXSW parties

Fred Les and co. perform in the sun

Ox.Eagle.Lion.Man. opened today’s musical action at NME and Transgressive records’ showcase gig afternoon today (March 13) at the Wave venue with an intense set of brainy art-rock.

Taking the stage at 2:40pm (CMT), Fred Les and co. played five songs dressed all in black to a busy crowd on the sunny roof-top stage in Austin, Texas.

Despite the early slot, the band amped up an impressive performance, with singer Les dropping to his knees dramatically while playing opener ’Fatherhood’.

Later in the set, during ’Thanatos’, Les lay down on the floor as he sang, soon after he had paid tribute to the Transgressive label for helping to sort out today’s bash.

Ox.Eagle.Lion.Man played:

’Fatherhood’

‘Where Dead Voices Gather’

‘The Drowned And The Saved’

‘Motherhood’

‘Thanatos’

The NME/Transgressive event will continue this afternoon with The Noisettes and Johnny Flynn still set to perform.
