The Ting Tings play rousing SXSW set in Austin pool hall

Katie White and Jules De Martino draw a big crowd in Texas

The Ting Tings performed their first SXSW show tonight at Buffalo Billiards in Austin, endearing themselves to the post-midnight crowd.

Wearing her trademark hat, singer/guitarist Katie White thrilled the audience will her guitar playing prowess as she and drummer/singer Jules De Martino played the penultimate set at Nic Harcourt’s long-running KCRW showcase.

Showing no signs of the jet-lag suffered by much of their audience, the duo made their way through seven tracks including ‘Traffic Light’, ‘Shut Up And Let Me Go’ and ‘That’s Not My Name’.

The Salford pair will play several more shows this week in Austin, including the Fader, Brooklyn Vegan and Diesel parties, as well as a showcase at Stubb’s.

The Ting Tings played:

‘Great DJ’

‘Fruit Machine’

‘Keep Your Head’

‘Traffic Light’

‘Shut Up And Let Me Go’

‘Be The One’

‘That’s Not My Name’
